‘Official’ bio
Anna Zoe Quirke is a queer and autistic author, librarian, and freelance writer from the North of England. They’ve written books, scripts, poetry, articles (and much more). Their novel ‘Something to be Proud of’ won the Northern Writers’ Award for Debut YA Fiction in 2022, was shortlisted for the PFD Queer Fiction Prize, and was published with Little Tiger in June 2024.
They’re at their happiest writing stories about chaotic queer and disabled people finding and claiming their place in the world, exploring the literary wonders of the UK, or making a mess in the kitchen baking things for their loved ones.
Unofficial bio
Hi! I’m Anna, a queer and neurodivergent author, poet, librarian, and all-round silly little guy. I currently live in Manchester with my partner and our very angry tortoise. I spend most of my time writing stories about queer and disabled people learning about themselves, falling in love, and finding their people.
